Usage Report
The Usage Report shows usage data for billing. It compares your organization’s actual usage with the monthly invoice and tracks peak usage over time. The report covers key areas such as Configured Users Usage, Concurrent Users Usage, Ports Usage, and Personal Connection Users Usage. You can select a custom date range of up to 95 days within a 25 month historical window. By default, the report shows data for the last 30 days.
Verify User Count on the Monthly Invoice
Maria is the billing administrator for her organization. Each month, she receives an invoice that includes a line item for the peak number of configured users. Before approving the invoice, she verifies that this figure matches the system records. Maria opens the Configured Users Usage report and sets the date range to match the billing period on the invoice. The Peak Users value shows the highest number of users configured in the tenant during that period. She compares this value with the user count on the invoice. If they match, she approves the invoice. If there is a discrepancy, she contacts NiCE account to investigate.
Monitor Proximity to a Port Limit
Carlos is a contact center administrator responsible for ensuring the center does not run out of capacity. His organization has a configured port limit; when active port usage reaches this limit, incoming callers hear a busy signal and outbound calls fail. Each week, Carlos reviews the Ports Usage report and examines the Number of Ports chart for the past 30 days. He compares peak port usage with the Port Limit to assess available headroom. When peak usage consistently approaches the limit, he submits a request to increase port allocation before capacity is reached.
Audit Personal Connection Usage for a Billing Period
The finance team at a large contact center reconciles their monthly invoice, which includes separate line items for configured or concurrent Personal Connection users. They need to verify that these figures match system records. The team opens the Personal Connection Users Usage report and sets the date range to the billing period. The Configured Personal Connection chart shows the number of users who had Personal Connection configured during that period. The Concurrent Personal Connection chart shows usage over time; the team reviews it to identify the peak value for the billing period. They compare both figures with the corresponding line items on the invoice and flag any discrepancies for follow-up with their NiCE account team.
Validate Peak Concurrent Agent Usage for a Concurrent Billing Model
Jordan’s organization uses a concurrent billing model, meaning billing is based on the peak number of agents logged in simultaneously, not the total number of configured users. Each month, Jordan verifies that the peak concurrent agent count on the invoice matches system records. Jordan opens the Concurrent User Usage report and sets the date range to the billing period. The agent peak value shows the highest number of agents logged in at the same time during that period. Jordan compares this value with the concurrent agent count on the invoice. The Concurrent Agent Limit also confirms the maximum number of concurrent agents the tenant is licensed for, helping verify that billing is based on actual peak usage rather than an incorrect cap.

Configured Users Usage
The Configured Users report shows the peak configured user count and daily usage over the date range. Use this report to verify the user count on your invoice or to track how your user population has grown or changed over time.
Peak Users
Peak Users: The highest number of users configured in the tenant during the selected date range.
User Limits: The maximum number of users allowed in the tenant. If no limit is configured, this value displays as 0.
Peak Number - Users
The Peak Number Users shows the peak user count for each interval in the selected date range.
Concurrent Users Usage
The Concurrent User Usage report shows the peak number of agents who were logged in simultaneously during a selected date range. This report is particularly useful for organizations on a concurrent billing model, where billing is based on peak simultaneous usage rather than total configured users.
Concurrent Agents
Agent Peak:The highest number of agents logged in concurrently at any single point during the selected date range.
Concurrent Agent Limit:The maximum number of concurrent agents the tenant is licensed for.
Peak Number of Concurrent Agents
The Peak Number of Concurrent Agents shows the peak concurrent agent count for each interval in the selected date range.
Ports Usage
Ports Usage report shows the number of ports used during a selected date range. A port is used whenever a call is made into or out of the contact center, including calls placed by scripts. If concurrent port usage reaches the configured limit, incoming callers hear a busy signal and outbound calls fail. The concurrent model is the only model that bills ports based on usage. It is billed by the maximum number of ports used during the month. Most other models bill based on the number of configured ports.
Peak Ports
Peak Ports:The highest number of ports in use at the same time during the selected date range.
Port limit:The maximum number of ports allowed in the tenant. If no limit is configured, this value displays as 0.
% Limit Usage:The peak port usage expressed as a percentage of the port limit.
Number of Ports
The Number of Ports shows port usage for each interval in the selected date range.
Personal Connection Users Usage
The Personal Connection Users Usage shows configured and concurrent personal connection user counts over the selected date range.
Configured Personal Connection
Configured Personal Connection shows the number of users with personal connections configured during each interval in the selected date range.
Concurrent Personal Connection
