Desktop Discovery Permissions

You must have appropriate permissions to see the navigation for the Roles & Permissions feature. If your organization isn't configured for CXone Mpower Desktop Discovery, you won't see these permissions.

Desktop Discovery Access

These permissions control a user's level of access to Desktop Discovery. The view permission allows users to see and navigate to the feature page from the menu and see the contents of the page. This is a foundation permission that may be included with higher-level permissions. The edit permission allows users to edit existing entries for a feature or page.

Upload Desktop Discovery Data

You can turn this permission on or off. By turning this permission on, users can upload Desktop Discovery data from Automation Finder (APA).

Client Updates Management

For Tenant Admins/Supervisors: Ensure the View and Edit permissions are enabled for Installation Update assignments.

For Agents with the Desktop Discovery Client installed: Enable the Download permission.

By default, these permissions are disabled.

Download Client Updates

This permission allows the client to download updates for the Desktop Discovery application.

Configuration Management

This permission enables you to manage Desktop Discovery Client configurations. Edit permissions should be enabled to create and assign configurations, and View permissions should be enabled to view configurations and assignments.

Configuration Download

You can turn this permission on or off. By turning this permission on, Desktop Discovery Clients can download the assigned configurations.
