The NiCE CXone DB Connector is a Windows-based, encrypted service that acts as a gateway between the NiCE CXone platform and your corporate database. When a query is executed within Studio, the platform redirects the query to the configured corporate database. The DB Connector runs as a Windows service either on the database server itself or on an adjacent Windows-based server or workstation on the local area network.

A DB Connector is an easy way to enrich an IVR call flow with dynamic data from a customer’s corporate Microsoft SQL database. Database lookups are commonly used for tasks such as account balance lookups, identifying key customers for preferred routing, and self-service flows.
